As you may know our small country the poorest in East Europe is separate in 2 parts Moldova and Transnistria with a silent war (political conflict), also its have a lot of other problems as underdevelopment country.

Therefore our organization with a goal: offering the psychological and financial aid to all those who are in needs start to help resolving these problems by joining the UN millennium development goals we developing a fellowship project.

2. BACKGROUND OF ORGANIZATION:

2.1. Purpose/activities of organization

IRFF ONLUS Moldova is a nongovernmental, public, and non-profit organization with material and educational aid goal. Officially registered in June 2001 at Moldova Justice Department, IRFF ONLUS Moldova has sought to accomplish this goal by creating and sponsoring development projects which stimulates an exchange of knowledge, skills and service between developed and developing countries. IRFF ONLUS also networks and cooperates with other non-profit organizations and agencies that desire to provide some level of humanitarian aid and assistance worldwide and or that have the similar vision and purpose to that of IRFF ONLUS. The primary work of IRFF ONLUS stresses the value and importance of sustained long-term assistance. The direct beneficiaries of the IRFF ONLUS's programs are children, youth, elderly, and people left helpless by tragic circumstances such as war, natural disasters and famine.

3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

3.1. Specify assistance requested:

The P.A. IRFF ONLUS initiated a new project aimed to create 3 special educational centers for children from orphanages that are going to be closed after a new law regarding this was adopted and 14000 orphans will remain on the streets. To resolve this issue our organization is searching financial support to furnish and to provide these centers with educational materials, writing materials, and other different objects for the children development including teachers’ salaries for these centers. Also at the centers the children will be able to learn, play and develop themselves. At these centers are going to work professionals in education and in social assistance, also volunteers that will help them. One of these centers already was open by us for 2 years and it has very good results that are the reason why we were interested in opening another two.

3.2. If you receive assistance, what kind of benefits do you expect? Please also indicate when you expect to see result from our assistance, such as 3 months, 6 months or 1 year?

The assistance from is as important as any other contribution, because the direct beneficiaries of this grants are the children. The first results will be seen in 3 months, when the rooms for the lessons will be furnished and the teaching materials provided. Usually the centers are visited by 25 children that benefit directly. Here they have the possibility to study, play and interact with their peers. This way they are getting prepared for a new life. We aim to provide each child with writing materials and with proper conditions for developing.

3.3. Why do you think your request should be given priority by?

The Moldova government has adopted a new law according to which the orphanages will be closed. Because the orphanages will be closed it will be difficult for the children to get integrated into the society. For some will be even difficult to get along with their new families if they will be adopted or simply will be left on the streets and the centers will solve this problem by means of their assistance, were the children will receive the proper help. Also at these centers children will have the possibility to attend lessons, to learn and interact with their mates and peers. The centers are offering the conditions for the children adaptation in normal society life.
